Must say when Iwas a young lad living at home Sunday was the day of the roast, and I loved it,but now it is not like that for us,somtimes we will go out for a meal, but as for a roast my wife does one or two in the week.

Early shift today, and no working oven at the moment! So no roast for us this weekend :(

No roast for us today. Setting off for Chessington soon, so it's a picnic lunch in the rain and home via a suitable takeaway establishment...

Pushed the boat out yesterday and had two roast joints - one leg of lamb and one XL chicken. We had friends over discussing some plans for the Harriet Quimby Project and, after a couple of hours at the Transport Museum, sat down to a wonderful sunday roast with a couple of bottles of chilled vino - perfect!

We had a good day at Chessington, although we did have our picnic standing under a tree. Dinner was a lovely couple of Calzones and chips courtesy of "La Friends"...

Well done Gary. F/F I know you do the cooking and must say I have had one of your roast dinners and it was great and looking forward to next one at some point.(y)

Gary, I cant believe how nice the calzones from La Friends are! Its got to be the meat feast with garlic butter......my mouths watering thinking about it!

Had a lovely roast pork yesterday! Has anyone else tried the four bird roast from Aldi? For £9.99 its huge and tastes amazing! Well worth treating yourself every now and then to!

Er, I think you might be mixing me up with someone else Vic. Must be another GaryP...

It was indeed a Meat Feast Calzone. Packed to the gills with pepperoni, ham, chicken and beefy bits. Yum!
My wife has the Vegetarian...yawn.

I cant remember the two sizes off the top of my head, but the large meat feast can be a challenge to finish sometimes! Would hate to think how many calories are crammed into it! :ROFLMAO:

10" and 12". We usually get the 10" and some chips. That feeds 2 adults and 3 children.
I do remember our first Calzone from La Friends. We got a medium (no size shown at the time) each, some chips AND a garlic bread. Imagine our shock when we saw just how big the Calzone's were. No, we didn't finish it...

:ROFLMAO: The 12" normally feed me and the missus with a large portion left over for the morning! Although for some reason it never appears as appertizing the next morning!

We always have to get 2. I don't want any of that vegetarian rubbish. :p
